Plantbeeb and Floramedia join forces
To further strengthen the platform and prepare it for the future, Plantbeeb has entered into a strategic partnership with Floramedia, market leader in plant labels and communication in the ornamental horticulture sector.
By combining knowledge and networks, the quality, visibility and reach of Plantbeeb are significantly increased. From 2026, Floramedia will introduce Plantbeeb to its customers. They can have the Plantbeeb QR code included directly in the design and production of plant labels, pot covers, packaging or stickers.

The Smart QR Code
The Plantbeeb QR code is evolving towards the GS1 standard, which will replace the traditional barcode in 2027. The first pilot starts in 2026.

From grower and retailer to consumer. The QR code creates a unique link between grower and consumer.

The same QR code can not only be scanned by consumers, but can also be linked directly to the retailer’s till systems.

The Plantbeeb app is free. Scan the QR code on the pot or take a photo of the plant. Professor Plantstein keeps on innovating and is happy to think ahead with you.
